Philip Zoubek Solo
Zoubek’s solo project has existed since 1999 and has changed again and again during this time. For years he has been exploring the tonal variety of the piano like no one else. Over the years, his preparation setup has changed continuously – and so has the music. His solo album “Air” is an excerpt from this development and documents his current sound research process.
[…] that I had thus created an open field for myself in which I could project everything I knew about music onto the sound space of the prepared piano and ultimately find my own voice. But the internalization of musical material is, as actually most of the time in music, only a vehicle for what really interests me: to transfer a self-discovered emotional clarity to the listeners, communication and transcendence.
